Question 1

Does Baseline give doses?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in two forms, and each one says where it came from. For approved medicines, the dose on the FDA label, for the condition it was approved for, with a link to the label. For everything else, the dose each named trial gave, to the people it recruited, for as long as it ran, with a link to the paper. Both are on Dosing, and every guide links to its own. Talk to a doctor before you take anything. These are reports of what was given, not a recommendation for you.

Question 2

Why is there no standard dose for BPC-157 and other unapproved peptides?

Accepted Answer

Because none exists. The figures passed around for unapproved peptides come from vendor and protocol sites rather than from trials, and many of these compounds have never been given to people in a published trial. Where a trial exists, we show what it gave and who it gave it to. Where none does, we say so rather than fill the gap with a number nobody tested.

Question 3

Why not average the trials into one range?

Accepted Answer

Because trials of the same compound used different people, conditions, units and endpoints. A range built from all of them describes none of them, and it reads like a recommendation without being one. Each figure stays next to the trial it came from, so you can see whether that trial looks anything like your situation, and take that to your doctor.

Question 4

Can members post doses in the forum?

Accepted Answer

You can report what a trial used, or what you took yourself, labeled as your own experience. What the rules remove is telling another person what to take, because nobody here knows their health.

Question 5

What is actually allowed here?

Accepted Answer

Discussion of published literature, mechanisms, study design and its flaws, regulatory context, and first-person experience reports labeled as anecdotes. Criticism of the field, the industry, the moderators, and this forum is explicitly welcome. The full rules are six numbered items, not a wall of legalese.

Question 6

And what isn't?

Accepted Answer

Arranging supply: price lists, discount codes, group buys, and taking it to DMs. Naming and reviewing a vendor is fine, and encouraged. Also removed: helping someone route around a prescription; telling another person what dose to take; medical claims presented as settled fact without a source; doxxing, harassment, and scams. Each removal names the rule it enforced.

Question 7

Why do I have to label my post as anecdote or cited research?

Accepted Answer

Because the difference matters and gets lost otherwise. Every thread carries a visible evidence label. Posts labeled “Cited research” must include at least one source, and the composer will not let you submit without one. Anecdotes are welcome and valuable; they just get to be honest about what they are.

Question 8

Is any of this medical advice?

Accepted Answer

No. It is peer discussion and educational material, and nobody here is your clinician. Nothing on this site diagnoses, prescribes, treats, or supervises anything. Decisions about your health belong with a licensed professional who knows your history.

Question 9

Do you shadow ban?

Accepted Answer

No, and the system is built so that we cannot. There is no state in the database where content is visible to its author and invisible to everyone else. When something is removed, a tombstone with the stated reason appears in its place for the whole community, and the author is notified.

Question 10

What happens if a moderator gets it wrong?

Accepted Answer

You appeal, from the notification itself or from your moderation record. Appeals are routed to a moderator other than the one who acted, and you get a written decision. Overturned actions are reversed and marked as overturned in the public log, where the record of the mistake stays visible.

Question 11

Can I see moderation decisions that don't involve me?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All of them, without an account. The public moderation log lists every public action, its reason, the rule it cites, and the outcome of any appeal.

Question 12

Do I have to use my real name?

Accepted Answer

No, and you shouldn’t. Members are pseudonymous by design: you pick a handle, and that handle is the only identifier ever shown publicly. We never ask for a legal name, and there is no field to put one in. Avatars are generated from your handle rather than uploaded, because a photo is a de-anonymiser.

Question 13

What do you store, and who can see it?

Accepted Answer

Your email (for sign-in and account notices, never shown publicly), a hashed password, hashed IP fingerprints for abuse prevention, and your posts. Your account page lets you hide your activity from your public profile, turn off direct messages, and keep your profile out of search engines.

Question 14

What happens to my posts if I leave?

Accepted Answer

You can delete your account from the account page. Your posts and replies are removed with it. Moderation records are retained in anonymised form, because a transparency log that can be erased by its subject is not a transparency log.

Question 15

What does a free account get me?

Accepted Answer

Every guide in full, across peptides, supplements and lifestyle, including its studies and the doses each trial gave, plus the glossary, and the forum to browse. Membership opens the discussion itself: every thread and reply in full, posting, bookmarks, search across the archive, and direct messages. See membership.

Question 16

I was given a code. Where does it go?

Accepted Answer

Type it into the referral code field when you create your account, or, if you already have one, enter it at Redeem a code. Codes are not case sensitive. They do not work in the card payment form, which is only for paid memberships.

Question 17

How do I cancel?

Accepted Answer

One button on your account page, which opens the billing portal. There is no retention flow, no phone call, and no “are you sure” maze. Access runs to the end of the period you already paid for.

Question 18

Do you take money from brands?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and we say so on every placement. Brands can buy a labeled slot in a sponsor rail with a disclosure line they write themselves. What no amount of money buys is a peptide’s evidence rating, a ranking, a moderation outcome, or placement inside a thread or a guide. The firewall is written down, and it is enforced by the shape of the database rather than by good intentions.

Question 19

Do you sell my data, or let sponsors target me?

Accepted Answer

No to both. Sponsors buy a slot on a page, not an audience. There is no tracking pixel, no third-party analytics, and no targeting of any kind. A sponsor learns how many people saw the page, and nothing about who they were.

Question 20

So how is a sponsored site a trusted source?

Accepted Answer

Because the trust claim is about what is separated, not about what is refused. Plenty of sites take no advertising and quietly bury criticism anyway. Ours publishes who pays, keeps them out of the editorial tables entirely, holds their copy to the same rules as a member post, and leaves member criticism of sponsors up. If we ever fail at that, the evidence will be a thread we did not remove.
